The real suprise in trading cards

www.ascentcmm.com
There are many things that trading cards is known for. In the last blogger I discussed the values of trading cards. I mainly discussed how much a card can be. I also discussed how important one card could be according to the rules of the game. I also talked about the social aspect of trading cards and how that can help with stress and anxiety. In this blogger I will be talking about the excitement of getting a certain card you want.

In the LA Times article there is a guy named Joseph who is known as a risk taker. He loves to collect trading cards especially sports cards. He is called the risk taker because he spends more money then your typical trading card guy. The reason he does this is so that he can get a card he wants. However he hasn't been lucky in getting the card. Joseph is still determined to get the card and then something good happens. He gets a rare heishmen trophy winner card. Now this card is certainly not the card he wanted however he was happy in the end. This shows that when you open a pack of cards you won't know what you get. This makes it somewhat exciting because you could get something you may think is bad but it is actually really good.

In the next blog post I will be talking about why trading cards can relieve stress and anxiety.

  1. I love the overall topic, its not as popular for a hghschooler to be writing about baseball, or sports trading cards. I like the fact that you keep it short and sweet

  2. I definitely agree that there is a cool feeling you get when you open a pack of cards and get something really rare (not too long ago i opened a pack of Yugioh and got a card worth around $70) and its alot of fun to just see what you can get. (And before anyone asks yes i still play yugioh.)
